Rev. Rosy Robson McCreary
Associate Pastor and Acting Head of Staff
Rosy joined FPC Richardson in 2018 for her first call after graduating from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA with a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Christian Education. A native of Black Mountain, NC (near Montreat), Rosy attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she studied sociology. Rosy has held leadership positions in student government at each of her campus stops, as well as helping launch the Joyful Feast, a new worshipping community in Richmond. Rosy has a deep love for Christ’s Church and is passionate about building relationships and fostering discipleship in creative and collaborative ways. She is married to a wonderful husband, Jay, and they have the sweetest puppy in the world named Lucy.

Ralph Stannard
Director of Music
Ralph Frederick Stannard has been the Director of Music and Worship at First Presbyterian Church in Richardson since 1998. He has also serves as Artistic Director for the Plano Civic Chorus. Mr. Stannard stepped down as Music Director for Temple Emanu-El in Dallas in 2016 after serving in that position since 1999. During his tenure there, Mr. Stannard conducted the Temple Choir in several programs of important Jewish concert and liturgical music. Mr. Stannard also served as associate conductor for special performances for the Dallas Symphony Chorus under chorus masters Ron Shirey and David R. Davidson.
Mr. Stannard has led several successful international choral tours. In 2002 he directed the combined choirs of First Presbyterian Church, Temple Emanu-El, and the Plano Civic Chorus in concerts throughout the British Isles and in 2005 took a similar group to the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Austria. Mr. Stannard led a 2008 concert tour to Italy and France with the Plano Civic Chorus and the choirs from First Presbyterian Church and St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano. The combined chorus gave performances in St. Marks Basilica in Venice and in Notre Dame and La Madeleine in Paris. Mr. Stannard completed a fourth European concert tour in June of 2011 again conducting the choirs of First Presbyterian Church and the Plano Civic Chorus in the Berlin Dom, the Luther Festival in Wittenberg, and additional concerts in Munich and Florence. In 2014, Mr. Stannard directed singers from the Plano Civic Chorus and the Sanctuary Choir of First Presbyterian Church in concerts in Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and encore performances in both Notre Dame and La Madeleine. In June 2018 he led the combined chorus back to England to perform in London at the famed Gresham Centre, Oxford with Bob Chilcott, Warwick, and Coventry with Paul Leddington Wright.
Mr. Stannard received his BM from the University of Texas, his MME from the University of North Texas, and completed three years of post-graduate work towards a PhD at UNT. Mr. Stannard studied orchestral conducting with Kate Tamarkin, band conducting with Robert Winslow, and choral techniques with Frank McKinley, Henry Gibbons, Ron Shirey, and David R. Davidson. Mr. Stannard has also had extensive study in Synagogue music with composer Simon Sargon and Cantor Richard Cohn.

Terry Metzger
Organist
Terry has performed professionally as conductor, solo pianist, accompanist, organist, trumpeter, and vocalist, and has been a church musician for well over three decades, including 21 years as Associate Music Director at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano. Terry earned a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from Ithaca College and a Master of Music in Conducting from SMU. As a member of the Music Teachers National Association, Terry maintains a large roster of piano students in his home studio.

Becky Lormor
Handbell Director
Since 1988, Becky Lormor has directed the Ruth Greer Handbell Choir for adults, and periodic handbell activities for children and youth. As a board member of the Greater Dallas Handbell Association, she has chaired events for ringers and directors. Becky earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree at the University of Evansville, Indiana. She and her husband, Gene, have two sons.

Marilyn Newberry
Office Administrator
Marilyn was born and raised right down the road in Plano and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's in Psychology in 2018. She grew up very active in her home church from childhood through high school, and comes to us with previous experience as an office administrator for a small church in Oklahoma. She loves engaging in the church community and is passionate about playing a role in creating a warm and welcoming church environment for the family of God. Marilyn is very excited to continue serving in a church setting closer to her home in the Dallas area. She also has a sweet puppy named Shiner who never leaves her side.

The Session
The elected leadership for First Presbyterian Church of Richardson consists of nine women and men who are ordained as ruling elders, within the Presbyterian Church (USA). These nine are divided into three classes, each committed to three years of active service to the congregation. A clerk of session, elected by the session, also serves on this council. The pastor serves as moderator.
