Contact us My First Pres
Ministries at FPCR

First Presbyterian Church of Richardson engages in the mission of Jesus Christ by organizing into ministry groups. The following ministries serve as opportunities to nurture both the members of the congregation and its neighbors.

Arts Alive

The Arts Alive Ministry uses Romans 22:6, “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them…” as our guide. Sharing our gifts with others is our main goal. We have a wonderful time meeting together to practice our skills and, also, to make short-term goals to share with our congregation and long range plans to share with our community.

Our ministry provides support and guidance to:

  • Sew and Tell       meets Tuesdays from 12:30-3 pm
  • Art “Therapy”      meets 1st and 3rd Thursdays 10-1 pm
  • Writers’ Group     meets 3rd Thursday of the month at 7pm (no December meeting)

Sharing laughter, excitement, and some hard work, we always welcome others to come join us as we are commanded to “stir up our gifts”, to put them into action for eternal purposes and not for personal gain or glory.
